How to Identify Vortex V2and Legacy Deflators

FOR BOTH COYOTE VORTEX V2 AND LEGACY DEFLATORS

THIS PAGE RELATES TO BOTH COYOTE VORTEX V2 AND LEGACY DEFLATORS. THESE DEFLATORS HAVE DIFFERENT SPECIFICATIONS, ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS. IT’S IMPORTANT TO USE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR DEFLATOR.

From across the table, they look the same, but up close and functionally there is a universe of difference. Let’s start with identifying what’s in your hand.

IDENTIFICATION: It’s as easy as A, B, C.

A: Maybe not as obvious as it appears here, the Manual Start Ring is smaller on V2.
B: The V2 imprint boasts of V2 technology heritage. The legacy just has our name and phone number which is still included on the V2.
C: The legacy has only one exhaust hole whereas the V2 needs 3 (one out of sight) to produce cyclone-like deflation speed.
D: And saving the obvious for last, the new guy has easier to grip diamond knurls versus the legacy’s vertical lines.

I’ll skip the important, invisible, internal differences but what is important to V2 buyers is the O-ring assisted adjustment technology.

FUNCTION: Here’s where the V2s earns its worth.

  • The patented, Vortex Venting technology literally sucks air out of the tire and shortens deflation time on even the largest tires.
  • O-ring technology simplifies adjustment. Anyone can do it and we back that with a promise of on the spot phone adjustment assistance, right at your tire. Click here for adjusting Vortex V2 Deflators.
  • And the V2 hasn’t given up any of the legacy features like the Manual Start Ring, the threadless lead-in to the Quick Chuck and the hex lock capability that never lets your adjustment get away. See Adjusting Coyote V2 Vortex Deflators.

PART NUMBERS: We convey more information in our part numbers than is obvious.

  • Any part number that starts with an “X” indicates a limited quantity, limited time sale.
  • CE means Coyote Enterprises
  • The letter following CE designates the part, like D for deflator, B for beadlock, T for (inner) tube and so on.
  • The “-#” at the end meaning varies. The CEDV2-# tells you the number of deflators in the set. We offer sets of two, -2 and sets of four, -4.
For inner tubes, it tells of size.
For beadlocks, -1 tells that you are buying a single beadlock kit whereas -4 is a set of 4 kits.
