CLEANING COYOTE LEGACY TIRE DEFLATORS

Following are instructions on how to disassemble, clean and reassemble Coyote Automatic Tire Deflators. A brief 1, 2, 3 approach is offered first. Each STEP # links to more information. Clicking on the destination STEP # returns you to the step from where you came. Contact us by phone (949) 645-7733 or email Harry@CoyoteEnts.com . We want you to be completely successful with cleaning and happy with your Coyotes. If you have a problem, tell us! If you’re happy, please tell others.

DEFLATORS – HOW THEY WORK

When screwed onto any standard tire valve stem, Coyote Automatic Tire Deflators start deflating your tire to the destination pressure that you have set. Then, automatically, they shut OFF at your destination pressure. Your Destination pressure is the pressure that you air down to.

DEFLATOR COMPARISON TEST

Automatic tire deflators are popping up all around the world. They vary in size and shape, and some look virtually identical to the original Staunies (front and center). My objective was to see how they worked compared to the Original Staun® Tyre Deflators. And since I was not in on the other manufacturers’ design, I cannot say what their design objectives were or if the test units were working properly. All I could do was report how they worked for me. The videos present that information.

DEFLATOR FAQs

You simply screw all four Coyote deflators on to your standard tire valve stems and either drive off (Coyote’s only) or wait for them to stop deflating, remove and then move out. We do, however, recommend that you remove the deflator at the first opportunity to avoid damaging either the tires’ valve stems or the deflators. Drive off with the original Stauns, manufactured in Australia, and you void the warranty.

Legacy Manual

This 1, 2, 3, trial and error, paint by numbers approach to setting your deflators makes adjusting a breeze (pun intended!). However, the repetitious nature of the process does require patience. See HINTS, below to ease and speed the process.
